Question about Descartes' second meditation?

I always felt that Descartes was saying that perceiving the wax brings it into existence, and this works with his Cogito Ergo Sum argument quite nicely. If someone who actively acknowledges that they think and is a thinking being then their perception of an object brings it into existence. Thats how I gathered it anyways; good luck though!
