Did a ghost or demon do this? 10 points!?

So I had a little get together last night. It was myself and four other friends. Anyway, we were all standing in the kitchen talking when all of a sudden I smelled a tremendously bad fart. There was no sound, just the smell. No one claimed it, yet everyone smelled it! Does this mean I have some entity going around my place farting? If so, how can I get rid of it?
