Is Asthma treatment Normal to take for Errosive Esophajitis?

I have Bulimia, and Errosive esophajistis. I was taking pariet, but had a really bad reaction to it, and my doctor dosn't want to take the risk of putting me on other ani-acid like medications. My errosive esophajistis has been getting worse despite doing well with not purging. It gets really bad at night, my doctor said that after 11 years of having Bulimia, i damaged my stomach sphinckter so the acid will come up. Latley though, i've been having a hard time breath, and getting really bad chest tightness. I told my other doctor, and he gave me ventolin puffer, believe it or not it helps A LOT! i was so excited, i can sleep so much better now, being able to breath. I was just wondering if it's normal for this to actually work for people with errosive esophajitis, or because i'm pretty sure i don't have asthma. I have had pnemonia 3 times and bronchitis, numerouse of times, but i dono if that has anything to do with this or not. Thanks so much for Your answeres! hope you have a great day
