The issue of no intention meeting the agreed weight...?

I always felt that "meeting at a weight" makes no sense at all. Only because they weigh in the night before the fight, make the weight, and then when it comes to fight night both fighters are 6-10 lbs heavier. Does it really matter what you weight the day before? If it really mattered they would weigh in the day of the fight. The weigh in is all for show, another way to sell last minute tickets. when mayweather fought de la hoya, mayweather weighed in at 154 and de la hoya at 155. the night of the fight mayweather went down to 148 and de la hoya went up to 161. So all that weight talk is crap. Good fighters win and bad fighters lose. Roy jones jr. beat ruiz while being out weighed by 30+ pounds. just win baby.
