Why is it so hard for people to realize that alcohol is a drug?

We make to much money off alcoholics. you cant charge a lot for marijuana cause anyone can grow it and the other drugs like coke, or x, or heroin is what you get when you go the dentist or surgery. Coke used for numbing teeth or kids with ADD, x was used in marriage counselings in the 70's and 80's, heroin is the same as vics or percs. its not that the drugs are illegal, you just need a prescription. Alcohol however is "maintained" i guess you could say by the government and taxed and all that good stuff. it'd be hard to tax weed. Amsterdam i think can do it cause its the size of rhode island and its easier while the US is some what big with. on the other hand we spend billions and billions on trying to make this stuff illegal and keep people in jail when it can be used for education, or health care. the longest war is the war on drugs its something in the trillions that we have spent on it when its having the totally opposite effect if you look at the numbers and that was a rant :)
