I have a pregnant black Mollie Fish and I want to know if the tank environment I have her in is suitable.?

I have my pregnant black Mollie Fish in a clear rectangular tank with no pebbles on the bottom and a small pile of pebbles in one end with two shot gles as protection for the baby fry. Is this suitable for her. I seem to believe it will be easier for me to observe her and her future baby fry.
